The Seven Pains of Christmas…

What a Christmas… Words to describe it. Great; as in family celebrations. Poisoned; as in wrongly prescribed an antibiotic that caused me a severe reaction, rendering me unable to function. Ouch; as I fell to the ground like a sack of spuds unable to save myself. Pain; the excruciating pain I suffered for days as I kept taking the antibiotic. Twilight: the world I wandered as I continued taking the antibiotic that was poisoning me, as it reacted with the Methotrexate (MTX). Methotrexate being the prescribed drug I have been taking for decades to combat Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). Trimethoprim (TS); an antibiotic that is known to cause an adverse reaction when taken with Methotrexate… It is noted in the instructions included with the antibiotic… I told the doctor, before the antibiotic was prescribed, that I took Methotrexate. I do this automatically with anyone who treats me. I have now left that twilight area; my brain is starting to function again and am now considering what to do next.

The note about my foot pain in my previous entry was the onset of the agonies to come…
Oh yes…
A Happy New Year to all my friends!
