The Beholden: a reading: chapter 2

Armageddon looms closer as The Chief Constable tries to enlist other police forces to help against the Devil’s disciples. Meanwhile, Detective Constable Robertson has no intention of ending up on a sacrificial slab again so volunteers to check the bodies outside the building. The Demon Tabael (Tabitha) has made sure all her plans are foolproof and the Beholden has been left with no alternative but to attend the sacrificial rites in order to stand a chance of foiling the devil once again!
