M is for Magic or Murder!

The Deputy Chief Constable is convinced that Detective Chief Inspector Chapman is somehow involved in killings in Cormoring which have been marked down as having been done by Satanists. He intends to sack the DCI, and tracks Chapman down to the Dog and Duck public house, the place that saw a satanic sacrifice two years before. Tonight, there is a cabaret show on and the Deputy Chief witnesses, at first hand, a Magician or is it a Murderer???
